We have created a Twitter identity called Decurity. The URL for ths Twitter is http://www.twitter.com/decurity/. We have also put a Twitter feed link on the home page of our website.

We will use it to alert anybody who “follows” the Twitter id, of any new threats or security issues that we have come across, that could have an impact on organizations across the globe. It is not a formal service and cannot be used as a sole source or guarantee this service. Please make sure that you investigate and come to your own decisions on any information you receive.

Twitter seems to present an opportunity to quickly send short messages to a group of people, but one of the problems is that some people send you multiple mesgs in a day (racking up those SMS bill).  We will only used it to send alerts (so you can use SMS with it), with the assurance that we will not be spending any superflious text. 

We hope people find it useful and obviously you can use the forums to discuss the usefullness and viability of using Twitter for such as situation.
